Minimum requirements for Broker Technology

I plan to visit a number of interesting technologies in this space, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. All of the tools we explore will serve the purpose of getting us to just a few objectives: (1) securing new prospects; (2) facilitating anywhere origination; and (3) working more effectively with our lenders. If the tool doesn't serve one of these ends, it's probably not necessary.

One thing you don't have to preach to brokers is the need to limit capital expenditures on unnecessary technology. A few years ago, it was the opposite proposition that needed to be reinforced as most brokers seemed to avoid tech at any cost. That's not the case today. Most professional loan brokers are leveraging technology and many are activley searching for the best tools available.
